Raising the Bar Empowerment Center

The vision of Raising the Bar Empowerment Center is to become an epicenter of resources for the community that will increase educational awareness, provide informaiton for healthcare consciousness, supply trainngs for economic empowerment, and teach disciplines for character development.

The mission of Raising the Bar Empowerment Center is to bring revitalization to disenfranchised communities through social and educaitonal awareness in the Greater Chattanooga area. Through strategic partnerships we will increase job opportunities, healthcare awareness, educational advancements, and community development which will produce results on a local and national level.

Goals:

1. Educational Awareness
   1. Provide programs that complement school training for school age children.
   2. Provide programs that give exposure to various fields of study.
   3. Development of afterschool programs which prepare for college or a trade.
2. Healthcare Consciousness
1. Implement programs that promote healthy living through diet.
2. Implement programs that promote healthy living through exercise.
3. Implement programs that address ethnic and community health related diseases and illnesses.
3. Economic Empowerment
1. Implement programs that develop money management skills.
2. Implement programs that provide financial planning skills.
3. Partner with local businesses and state organizations to promote home ownership.
4. Partner with local businesses and state organizations that foster small business ownership.
4. Character Development
1. Focus on the character of the individual.
2. Focus of the character of the family and its structure.
3. Implement programs that integrate youth into viable adults in community.
4. Train for interviewing skills for employment, college entrance, and the like.
